The City of Duarte will spotlight its 60years of incorporation with a memorable celebration on June 30, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm at Beardslee Park, 2000 Buena Vista Street. The “Cheers to 60 Years Community Celebration” will feature a musical performance by the nationally recognized tribute band “Kalimba” the Spirit of Earth, Wind, and Fire, followed by the City’s signature Community Movie Night where families can enjoy a screening of top box office hit, “Jumanji”.
Sponsored by the City of Duarte, the City of Hope, LA Party Works, California American Water, and Los Angeles County Supervisor Kathryn Barger, the evening will also host fun bounce houses, oversized games, crafts, a photo booth, and delicious, free BBQ meals for the first 750 attendees. For adults, delicious festive beers and wines will be available for purchase at the “Cheers to 60 Years Beer Garden” served in limited edition anniversary cups. Duarte LA County deputies and firefighters, local non-profits as well as City officials will be present to serve food and sponsor multiple, free raffles. Custom 60thAnniversary t-shirts for purchase will also be available throughout the entire celebration.
Free parking will be available for all attendees at both the Beardslee Elementary School parking lot and the City of Hope, Buena Vista parking lot.
